Despite the benefits of cherries, excessive consumption can cause some digestive problems, such as intestinal gas, bloating, and cramps, due to their fiber content. Some people may be sensitive to cherries and experience symptoms such as difficulty breathing, chest or throat tightness, facial swelling, skin itching, low blood pressure, nausea or vomiting, stomach pain, loss of consciousness or dizziness, and increased heart rate.


People who are allergic to cherries are advised to avoid consuming them and use antihistamines to alleviate allergy symptoms.
